Welcome to 3rd grade! I am so excited to have your child in my room. I am looking for great successes this year.
This first message is to notify you of some classroom news and procedures. I can be reached by phone 979-543-5481 ext. 455 or be email at firstname.lastname@example.org. My conference time is 10:00 - 11:00 Monday through Thursday and 10:15 -11:00 on Friday. Our lunch time is 12:20 - 12:50.
Your child will be bringing home an TAKE HOME FOLDER (homework folder) everyday. It needs to come back and forth every day. On the inside of the folder you will see the words IN and OUT. The left side pocket "IN" are for homework and papers that need to be returned to school. the right side pocket "OUT" are for papers that stay at home. MATH HOMEWORK will be sent home nightly. As of right now, your child may pick 3 out of the 4 problems to work. It is advised to try to do all of them. We do take the time to go over each problem and highlight important information so that they can work them at home with little assistance. Your help is greatly appreciated. No homework is assigned on Fridays.
The children are learning the procedures and rules nicely.
Parent lunch day is the same day as ice cream/snack day and that is Monday. It will begin on August 27.
Your child will be counted present if they are here until 9:45. If your child is absent or leaves early I need a note stating why they were absent. If medicine will be given to your child by the nurse, she needs a note stating how to give the medicine. It needs to be in the original container.
If your child sits out at P.E., he/she will need a note from you. The note will need to be signed by the nurse and he/she will sit out at recess also for that day or days. Please have girls wear shorts under their skirts.
If your child is at school before 7:30 he/she will need to report to the cafeteria. Your child is to have breakfast before coming to the room.
If your child will do something from his/her normal routine for going home, please call the office by 2:30.
I appreciate you and thank your for help.
